This auction is for a
1887 Great Britain Double Florin, KM#763
92.5% silver, ASW 0.6727.
The double florin, equivalent to one fifth of a sovereign, is one of Great Britains rarest coins. It was minted only in a single type, for a period of four years, from 1887-1890. Fewer than two and a half million were minted in total, with few than half a million in 1887. How knows how many of those have survived being melted down?
I am not qualified to grade coins but I bought this as being graded XF. You should use the pictures to judge for yourself. The coin pictured is the exact coin you are bidding on. Catalog value for this coin is $50 XF.
