I mostly collect everything I can get my hands on. My most favorite metal to collect is silver, because you can always find silver in coins that are old. The coins that make me most intrested are the Morgan Dollar, the Kennedy Half Dollar, the Walking Liberty, and the Barber Dollar. Well, basically i just collect everything that is old!

My favorite coin is the Barber Dollar, because I dont have a single one in my entire collection.

My favorite paper money is 2 Dollar Bill.

I am thirteen years old, and I now live in Canada, I just moved here an year ago from N.Y.C. and I started to collect coins about 2 years ago. My father has always collected coins, and now he has passed down his collection to me, to increase my collection I do coin roll hunting, which I have to give credit to Coins4cheese, who has guided me through this new hobby.

I just bought a Bounty Hunter II and a Junior.  Tried it by the garage and dug up a ole' rusy nail.  No fun.  Plan on going out and using it soon.  :)

hey Rigo, my birthday is coming up and i may get a metal detector, so i was wondering that do i need permission from the town to detect in parks and public places? or do i just go and do it?

silvercoincollector. I personally have no idea how that works over in Canada. Here, you need to ask for permission from the land owner. The beach is public and you can hunt, other than that, I don't know kido, sorry.

Maybe you should ask Coins4Cheese as he metal detects and might give you more information. Read this and you'll get more info too: http://www.metal-detecting-ghost-towns-of-the-east.com/metaldetectinglaws.html

I think you can metal detect on public property such as parks and beaches without asking. But you will have to ask someone if you want to metal detect on private property such as front/back lawns, farms, or schools. Have you gotten a metal detector yet?

Sup! I haven't heard from you in a while lol. Ok, the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV cost about $100.

But really, I would go with the Ace 250 metal detector. It's a bit more pricey, but the functions and metal discrimination settings are really good.

I guess you mean this old Alexander the Great, the reverse has BA on it which means King of Macedon around 325 BC also means it was minted during his lifetime.  I have 2 lumps of coal, the other is

celtic from Spain 250 BC.

That's really cool, but what i want to know is about the coin that looks like a rock and is from 305 BC(before christ i think)

I guess you are talking about the 1958 Death Totem from BC.  I got that one on the internet about a year ago.  I guess you saw the old Sol from Quebec, I bought that in a lot of coins from auction house.  The one I wanted in the lot was a Chinese 72 Candareens piece.  about 6 months ago.

Happy hunting Silver !!
